Spent the weekend in Fyresdal with every single member of my girlfriends family, had a great time. Unfortunately we couldn't spend much time there because of my busy schedule. Went straight to the studio after returning on sunday and had to spend the entire evening/night retouching. Another twelve hour day yesterday but today things are falling into place so I'll probably be home for dinner.

Will be shooting 5 ads for Ventelo with Grey tomorrow and thursday. Have to finish these and deliver them by monday morning. I'll also attend a meeting with Hansen & Dysvik, Los & Co and Toxic on friday about the new stop-motionfilm we will be making together concerning christmas shopping. I'm having another shoot on monday and I might have a got a new job with TBWA as well. I'm a bizzy bee and I'm loving it.

Wiken

Had a great shoot today with Schjærven for Terra before heading west
towards Fyresdal. After another long and great redwine-fueled
conversation with my girlfriends family I guess it is time to hit the
sack. Nighty night.

More work

Got assigned to two new jobs today, a productshoot for Toxic and a new job for Grey and Ventelo, this last one will be very visible. Details and budgets etc. is not finalized though but hopefully it will sort itself out.
Going to be crazy busy a week and a half now, and I've already spent a couple of 12-hour days at work this week.

Money, money, money

I spent about 11 hours in my office yesterday retouching portraits and will probably spend about the same amount of time today. The good thing is that the pictures turn out pretty cool. Hopefully the client will feel the same way.
Tomorrow I'll be shooting with Schjærven ad agency, never worked with them before and there is nothing better than getting new people to work for. We are creating a brochure for Terra using amongst other things, these.

I am heading to a meeting with Toxic afterwards as well about a job I might do next week.
After a couple of slow weeks after the summer holiday it nice to be busy again. Hopefully I'll get plenty of great jobs from now on and towards the end of 2009.

Narcissism

How can any photographer resist taking their own picture during a shoot?
The lights are up, the camera is in place, a couple of spare minutes in between talent.
And "click", another self-portrait has been made. This one is inspired by the greatest movie ever made about male models , Zoolander.

Behind the scenes

Had a great day shooting at the brand new offices of Ventelo located at Fornebu. Shot portraits to be used in all of their material, websites and such. Will continue to shoot more portraits tomorrow as well. Had the very talented Mr. Ekstrøm with me as my assistant and he filmed a bit during the session. Some of which is now viewable here.

Wish List

Canon G11. I want this one. Brand new compact from Canon. Looks really promising. What I want is a compact that delivers files I can actually use professionally, like elements, skies, horizons, details etc. that I can use for composites. Hopefully this little thing can deliver that.

Back in Oslo

I had a couple of great days down south with a lot of fellow photographers. I got to see some of the beautiful nature down there, enjoy a nice meal and hold my first lecture. The lecturing was really fun and it seemed like the audience liked what I had to show them, definitely something I'd do again if I got the chance. These are some snaps I took down there.

I might have got a new job today as well, working with Schjærven next wednesday. Tomorrow I'll head out to Ventelo and check out the location where I'll shoot monday and tuesday next week.

Lista

I got up at 06.00 this morning to catch my flight to Kristiansand,
then it's two hours by bus to Lista. My presentation is not until
tomorrow so today I'll just hang out watch some others presentations.

Nature & Politics

After a looong walk (13 km) we were a bit tired but that was soon forgotten when we met mr. handsome in Norwegian politics. It's election time in Norway and you might get a hint from this picture as to what I am voting.



I got assigned to a job last week as well, I'll be shooting some pictures with Grey ad agency with Ventelo as the client.
Tomorrow morning I'm leaving for Lista and I'm really looking forward to it.

Pre-Pres

I'm searching trough my entire catalog as a working photographer (2,5 years), finding all the pictures that has some interest to the people I'll be talking to in my presentation. It's difficult since I don't really see what interest they could have in my old photos. Guess I have to talk a bit about how the journey for me has been, as well as showing some jobs from start to finish, from sketches to final .psd.
I really hope someone will turn up and actually find what I have to say somewhat interesting. Jeez, scary.

Jar

Spent the sunday walking around my old neighbourhood where I grew up,
and drinking soda with my grandparents in the house that we want to
buy if we can afford it. It's a beautiful place.

I've just been at a meeting showing my portfolio and while drinking a
coffee afterwards my picture appears in Aftenposten. I hope I'll never
get tired of seeing my own work in the public.
