Had a nice weekend including a fantastic hike into the woods with my girlfriend. Felt like easter holiday with the perfect weather.



Yesterday I headed towards Elverum to shoot images with kids and some designer items. It was a funny day and hopefully my client will like the pictures I took as well. Supercute kids and it looked like they had a good time.
Heading towards a meeting now with a potential new job before it's off to smoothen the body at Elixia.

Weekend

The weekend is approaching at the speed of lightning. Had two great meetings today, one of which involved a potential job with Ernø ad agency for the food chain Meny. I'll know more about this next week I guess.
I'm heading to Elverum first thing monday morning for a shoot with Popkorn Design. But first I'll enjoy a nice weekend that includes seeing The Wrestler at the cinema, some cross-country skiing and probably some alcohol.

Day off

I took the day off and headed into the woods instead of to the studio, the weather is perfect.
I'm totally enjoying myself heading towards Kikut. It's about 13 km each way. See ya.

I got assigned to another job last week, I'll shoot the annual report for Flytoget (airport express train).
This week I'll do a lot of office work since I've been rather busy with shoots and postproduction, so I'm a bit behind on some other stuff. I'll also got two portfolio showings as well as some meetings with potential assistants.

Snowy

It's pretty beautiful with all the snow that has come the last couple of days.
Shot two pictures while walking to the studio today, it was way more beautiful than my images project.

Everyday Shooting

When I studied photography and when working as an assistent I didn't go one place without at least one camera with me. Some time after starting up on my own the camera was left behind more often than not, that is something I've been changing lately and that's what the 5d is perfect for. It's so easy to carry around with me. So now I'll shoot even more. These photos are examples of what I want do to more of, just taking pictures when I see something I like.

Ruter

My latest work, a campaign done for Kitchen with Ruter as the client. It will be very visible at the underground, buses and trams. I'm very pleased with this job, love the work put in by Eirik and Thomas at Kitchen and beautiful illustrationwork by Chr. Bloom. Put in quite some hours to get the jaw the way I wanted. The jaw belongs to a man obviously and not the cute and innocent girl.

The Creator

I was in the audience of Skaperen(the creator) tonight, my girlfriends
brother had reached the semi-finals and the show aired live.
Unfortunately he didn't get to the finals but he put in a superb
effort, hopefully he'll succeed with his invention.

Finn.no

These are the pictures I did for Finn.no with Kitchen.
The pictures were to be quite simple portraits, with happy people looking into the camera.
We portrayed the "typical" Finn-users, the pictures will be printed and cut out to life-size cardboard figures for use within the Finn organization.
Nothing extraordinary about these, but pictures and jobs like this are a big part of working as a photographer.

First 5d-video

This is my first video with the 5d-camera, I didn't have that much material to work with so I kind of repeated myself but still.
Shot these clips up at the cabin this weekend, the quality is amazing although you can't see here because of the youtube-quality.

The House of Literature

I did this job almost half a year ago but has not published it until know because it had not been decided where the pictures were to be used. It has now been used as a coaster to put underneath your plate, and therefore I can also put it on the net.
It was made with DDB for The House of Literature.

Sjusjøen

Had a great weekend with 7 friends in a small and cozy cabin at Sjusjøen. Due to rather late nights the outdoor activities were a bit fewer than anticipated up front but we had great fun.
Back to work today, some phone calls, a couple of meetings is on the agenda. Will do some smaller jobs this week and eagerly await the finished campaign I did last week, excited to see the end result.

I bought myself a new camera today, 5d mkII. It will basically be used
as a backup and a camera that I can take with me where-ever I go.

Jobs

I was afraid that this year were going to be real hard considering the economic state of things but at least it has started good. Did a rather big job today with Kitchen for Finn.no. Next week I'll do a potentially great job for Ruter, this is also with Kitchen ad agency. I'll also do some small shoots with TBWA and Virtual Garden. Besides this I'll try to meet some new creatives and show them my portfolio. I guess working hard and producing good material is the only way to go. I wish myself good luck for the rest of this year.

Workin '09

It's the third day of work in 2009 and things are slowly starting to get back to normal. I'll be shooting 5 pictures for finn.no with Kitchen next week so it's some preproduction there and I'm also trying to schedule some rounds with my portfolio. But all in all it's pretty quiet so far, hopefully the jobs will come in bunches in a couple of weeks time.
Still though, life is good although I miss warm weather and summertime.

Happy New Year

I wish you all the best for 2009, hopefully it will turn out okey for
me as well. Headed out to forest the last day of '08, it's amazing how
great one feel after 22 km of crosscountry skiing.

Fire Fire

Woke up this morning to the enjoyable sound of a firealarm, it was
smoke in the basement and no less then 3 fire trucks, 3 policecars and
one ambulance showed up. It turns out it was nothing to worry about.
Sigh.
Good thing to know that people are cautious these days though.

Kreativt Forum

Weekend

I spent this week shooting photos to the upcoming issue of Kreativt
Forum, I'm excited about the result so it will be fun to see it in the
shelves of Narvesen. This weekend I'm hanging out with a couple of
friends in a small cottage close to Mjøsa, enjoying life.

About time

to update this blog now.
Most of my time the last weeks has been involving emptying and cleaning my old apartment and moving into the new one. We're getting quite settled now and the place is superb.
Work-wise it has been a bit quiet, but I have done a fairly big job with TBWA, these pictures can be seen in most major newspapers as well as boards around the country the next couple of weeks.
I'll be doing several small shoots these days since I am photographer of the month in Kreativt Forum. I really need to make some cool stuff as it is a very visible place to have my photos.

True Love

She is all the clichès, my first, my last, my everything. She is the most funny, entertaining, kind and beautiful person I've ever met. She makes me smile and my life shine. Her name is Marit, she is my girlfriend and I love her more than anything. I love you honey.
